我家多年前找公司来估价过全屋安装过滤器，实在是太贵了，每3个月还得换filter也要2百左右。这还是10多年前的价格，我们这种小老百姓的没法长期持有。我想呀，我其实只在乎喝干净的水和洗干净的头发和洗澡呀，洗衣服和冲厕所就不必要用过滤水了。

Years ago, I had a company come out to give me an estimate for a whole-house water filtration system. It was incredibly expensive; even back then, the replacement filters cost about $200 every three months. That was over a decade ago—for average folks like us, the long-term maintenance just wasn't sustainable.

I realized that I really only care about having clean water for drinking, washing my hair, and showering. There’s no need to use filtered water for laundry or flushing the toilet.
